Some people think it immature, but to them I say that statically speaking a child who reads comics has a tendency to score higher on both written, and visual tests including the SAT, and an IQ test. As an adult I am still a fan of written word, and pride myself on my artistic achievements. So no, there is no age limit on buying comic books, if you go to your local comic-con I am sure you will see all ages of people buying comics, and all sects from the gas station clerk to the neurosurgeon.
