It is the same process as if you were convicted at a jury trial. You must file a motion with the Court of Appeals that they hear your appeal.

It sounds like this is about courts. If it starts in the city/county then when you appeal, it will go the state, if appealed again, it may or may not be accepted by the US supreme court.
