What is the auto setting on Corningware slow cooker?
Cooks on high for two hours then goes to low until you shut it off. Works great!
You probably can't, but a light sanding with Emory cloth might help. I'd be hesitant to try anything spectacular though. Glassware is fragile and can be damaged by misuse. Be advised too, that there is a school of thought which will tell you that newer (post 1984 if memory serves) Corningware may spontaneously explode. GOOGLE "exploding corningware" for a plethora of stories. FriPilot
Our slow cooker uses 155 watts. To be safe, you should have a power inverter that can deliver at least 300 peak watts and 200 watts sustained. Try the 'low' setting on the cooker. After a while, the high setting might burn the pasta and cheese on the bottom nearest the warming element. Try it at home before you take it on the road. Good luck!
