That is, bead embellished or not and how many beads are used. Also the price greatly depends on the designer or manufacturer. If it is a well known one or companies that traditionally make prom or bridal dresses, then it is going to cost more than the one that is unknown or off brand. But to answer your question, and if the prom dress is not on clearance, it ranges from $99.00 to $500-$600. You can get great ideas for prom dresses online and these websites post their dresses as soon as the designer rolls them out. Prices are really reasonable as well.

Prom expenses vary greatly. It all depends on whether you are a guy or girl, as well as how much you are willing to spend for everything you need. As a girl, I spent close to $1,000 for prom because there was the dress (which had to be perfect), shoes, bag, hair, makeup, pictures, nails, boutonniere, and my portion of the after party expenses (we got a penthouse suite for seven couples). I think that is in the much higher end of the spectrum, however, and if you want, you can spend a lot less. I think the least you can spend, though, is about $200.

The biggest expense is the limo,if you want to do it right which is usually a 4 hr minimum, the photos if you buy, they can usually be paid for later, and the formal attire which ladies don't rent. Also since you will most likely go somewhere after-where that is will probably factor in as well since you will want to make a night of it and have a limo for 4 hours at least, for girls the male should take care of that end.
