The basic principals of Hinduism vary from the different groups of Hindus. There are the Hindus who worship Rama. They are considered Vaishnavism. Most of their principles come from their sacred book the Ramayana. Then there are the other groups, just as large as the Vaishnavism.

The basic principles that all Hindus follow involve praying, going to church and

meditating daily. All Hindus must be kind to other living organisms *this is different for some Hindu religions*. Hindus must make it there duty to take care of the earth. Last Hindus should never cheat, be disrespectful, unmannerly, or disruptive.

This is the basic, Hope it helps :-)

There is basic agreement on what is accepted to be Hinduism whilst there is great diversity between different schools. These are the law of Karma (each person brings the 'effect' of their actions in their past live/lives into this one and one's deeds into this one will affect our next birth), re-incarnation (life is a cycle of birth and death until this is broken by one's efforts to rid ourselves of all our desires to achieve liberation (moksha)), most people still believe in the Caste System (although several reformers including Gandhi have attempted to eradicate this) - that one's station in life is due also to our past actions (karma) and that one should attempt become 'egoless' by continuous service (can be work) and self-sacrifice. Arya Samaj reject idol worship and caste barriers altogether. Hinduism is montheistic.

1. Hinduism also known as sanathana Dharma (eternal religion) believes in one god who can manifest in various forms that a devotee chooses to worship. It is similar to the water in the ocean is shapeless yet if you fill a glass with the ocean water, it takes the shape of the glass 2. Everybody and every creature in the universe is potentially divine and the goal in life is to manifest the divinity within 3. Just as raindrops falling from the sky get together in the form of brooke, rivulets, streams and carry on relentlessly to the ocean, so do all souls progress relentlessly to the same divinity or God 4. Death is not the end for the soul, the soul reincarnates as various creatures and inanimate objects based on Karma until perfection is achieved
