The AEM Cold Air Intakes work really well and gain real power that you can feel. If you click the link you can find one for your Mitsubishi Lancer. Cheers, GPI Performance
Well that is really an opinion question. Either the Injen Cold Air Intake or a Short Ram Intake. i forget what the difference is between the two. i know one gives more tq and the other more hp. but you will have to research that. I have an 08 Lancer with the Injen CAI, and i personally love it. But then again i believe it is an opinion question.
no, you only have one intake therefore you can only modify it one way. the short ram intake will most likely be a shorter edition of the cold air intake.
Depends on your uses. For performance the Cold air intake is way better but if you are on a budget then the short ram is not bad.
If there are a lot of deep puddles or it floods a lot, get a short ram intake since you can not use your cold air intake in those conditions (even with a air bypass valve). Alternately, you can get a K&N Typhoon intake that can convert between cold air and short ram lengths. If flooding is never a concern, or you don't mind constantly switching back and forth to get the most power in ideal conditions, then get a cold air.
Banks.
AEM Bruteforce.
The K&N typhoon cold air intake is the best intake you can get for your accord for a number of reasons. 1) Well designed with proper bends (unlike some eBay intakes) 2) Dyno proven power enhancement 3) Million mile warranty 4) Superior installation instructions and customer service 5) It converts easily into a short ram for the rainy season
Ram air intake aka, short ram intakes are good for low end horsepower and torque Cold air intakes have more horsepower gaines then short ram and more top end power. If your looking for more torque then horsepower, meaning more acceleration but dont care about topping out your car, then short ram intake is what you want. If you already have enough torque and just want more horsepower and go fast as possible, then cold air intake is what you want.
well lets c cold intake is meant for the mid to higher range rpms.... so if u got good take off power already then go with that.. Short ram intake is for the take off point in acceleration and doesnt do much for the mid to higher rpm range. so it really all depends!!
It depends on the intake that you get. There are short ram air and cold air intakes. Cold air intakes are preferred amongst rsx enthusiasts because of the cold air that is being sucked into the motor. On average, about 3-14 HP can be obtained from an intake. The quality and type of intake is what makes the difference between a lot and a little HP.
there are plenty of "How-To's" for home made CAI's (Cold Air Intake) at Neon enthusiast forums (NeonTuners.com and Neons.org are IMO the best examples)
I've noticed better MPG. Look for an air intake with a heat shield, for best results.
