Anything from the Nutra company is good becasue it is all natural ( Innova is good). I feed my long haired Chihuahua and the rest of my dog California Natural. It's good becasue it is just like thes vets i/d, it's gental on the stomach, and it only has four main ingred. not only is it used on my personal dogs but on my foster dogs too.

Don't buy dog food with dies in it because the dies have been proven to A) cause cancer and B) make you dog hyper (like beneful its so bad that often animal control won't take it) Dogs have such horrible taste buds that they could eat the same thing all their life and not care what attracts them to different foods is the smell.

NOTE: Even if they dont have California Natural on they're shelves if they carry natural foods (like Innova) you could ask the people working there to order you some.

A good food would be Wellness Small breed formula its a holistic food that is really good for your dog. Also Solid Gold has a small breed formula. You could also try Canidae or Innova small bites. Hope that's a little more helpful then just dog food!

Just about any dog food made by one of the large pet food companies (Iams, Science Diet, Pedigree, Eukanuba etc.) are really horrible for your dog.

My suggestion is that if you can buy the food at petsmart or Walmart you shouldn't feed it to a pet that you love. The first ingredient in this food is corn meal. Dog food should ideally be grain free, as grain isn't a natural part of a canine diet and causes digestion problems. The first ingredient in a food should be a meat or meat meal for example chicken or chicken meal. I personally feed my Chi Innova EVO Red Meat small bites. Dry food is best for a Chi's dental health. Another tip is to not let your dog graze on their food. leave the food down for an hour during meal time and pick it up after that.
