What are some good spells in Skyrim?

1. the best spell is under your condition. You can go to the arcane university(must get all recommendations from all of cyrondills mages guilds) and make a spell. but you just can't choose how good you want it to be. if u choose it to the max there will be requirements you'll have to do to use them..lets say u want a fire spell that does 100 fire damage for 100 seconds and for 100 feet. it would cost u a lot of money and you would need lvl 100 distruction.

2. you can make nice spells from the arcane university, but the cost is too high, and for the 100 damage/seconds/feet fireball it cost about 450,000. when i got it, i had about 55,000 magicka and you need 140,000 magicka which is impossible no matter what level 55k is the max out... from my experience Fingers of the Mountain is the best spell... the final level does 200+ damage too 100ft and one shots most mobs. it costs about 3500 magicka. the only mod you need to fight is a storm atr. :]

3. the best spell iv found is pretty cheap to make uses a low magicka, its perfect for lower level characters, make a spell that's drain life 100damage for 1sec then add fire,ice and electric damage around 40 each is enough. I use this spell with touch making it alot cheaper.I have a problem while fighting undead creatures like Zombies and skeletons in that the spell wont affect them until you cause physical damage to them first i.e. just punch them then cast the spell. its sorta a cheating way to get a kill but it works

the best spell is the leviathan its the level 58 storm spell and i am a death wizard.

legiathan does the most damage but it only does it to one person, ra is really good for balace i also like efreet for fire because it also gives minus 90 % damage to next attack. But there is no argueing storm does the best raw damage.

The above was pretty close in my opinion. Efreet has a GREAT effect, Ra is good for balance, and Leviathan is just raw POWER,but you gotta think about storm lord. I know its only a lvl 48 spell but that doesn't mean its week.It does 690 damage and stuns to ALL enemies.This has an effect and more damage than Ra so its already eliminated it. Then we come to Efreet. This comes to how much you like the effect of efreet and how much people are in the battle. Same with levy.In my opinion though in 1v1 Levy is the king and 2v2-4v4 Its storm lord.

For damage; Frostbite, Sparks, and Flames because they're all sustain Damage Over Time spells, so you won't have to worry about precision. Just be careful not to hit allies. Alteration spells as a whole are useful because they can raise your defense (Oakflesh, Stoneflesh) and let you breath underwater.

well there are alot of amulets, but i recommend the amulet of the nord
