cyndaquil is the best because its status is brilliant once it evolves into typhlosion
Cyndaquil because its awesome against the first few gyms and has good stats. Also when it evolves to its last form it is tough.
totodile is the best he learns the best variety of moves and is a beast when it comes to attack .....also he learns ice fang which makes the champion and your rival so easy to beat
i think you should get a totadile only if you want type advantage and fraligater is very strong i hope this can help
