What is the best way to overcome generalized anxiety disorder if you have already tried therapy and those prescribed medications?

Honestly, it's to find a therapist or counselor whom you really trust and feel like you can really open up to. Therapy is about opening up to yourself and being really honest with yourself in an effort to get better. If you "tried" therapy, you should try again with someone different.
In terms of medications, if they aren't working, try other ones. There are a few different SSRI medications that are the best to treat anxiety, and you also may find benzodiazepines (like Ativan or Xanax) helpful. Just because you've tried one or two medications doesn't mean there aren't more.
Also, learn how to meditate. That's the best thing you could do for yourself.
