as far as i know the B.Pt. is defined as " when the vopour

pressure of the liquid is equal to the atomospheric pressure then

it is said to be the boiling point of the liquid." similarly "when

the vapuor pressure of the solid is equal to atmospheric pressure

then its corresponding temperature is called melting point of that

compound." so a compound may be a low melting one but the same

compound may be ahigh boiling liquid. this is due to the inter

& intra molecular forces that exists in the molecules. so there

is no specific equation that a compound having a m.p. of 102c will

have a b.pt. of some particular value.
