25-26 pints of Transmission Fluid Check level with engine running and oil warm.

the dry capacity is 7 quarts in the transmission itself. a truck tranny pan can and filter can be added to any car, and it adds an additional 2 quarts. the converter, varies by engine. convertor diameter vs capacity ( quarts ) 10" = 3 quarts 11" = 3.5 quarts 12" = 4 quarts 13" = 5 quarts

Usually a C6 transmission.

No the c6 is a 3speed automatic transmission that was used on earlier fords.

A C6 transmission including the torque converter will take 12.5 quarts.

Depends on the C6 transmission you have. They made several variants for different Ford Engine types for the FE and 385 Big Blocks. So For a 390 you will need a C6 that mates to an FE engine.

Yes, Type F is the correct fluid for a 1971 C6.

I'm not an expert on Ford transmissions, but, the C4 is usually considered a lighter duty transmission as it is used in cars for the most part, the C6 however, is used in Pick up trucks and high performance cars of the time period. I would say, depending on your needs, the C6 is the better transmission.

no the c4 is not compatible with the 302 you would need a c6

I believe that is a ( C6 ) 3 speed automatic transmission with the 351 in a 1989 Ford Bronco

Mainly because the C6 transmission only has 3 gears and no overdrive.

I want to say 5-6 Qt, but you should ask your mechanic.

The Ford C4 transmission can be identified by the following. The pan will be square and have 11 bolts. If there are 17 bolts, it's a C6.
