Honestly, the cause of rheumatoid arthritis could be several things. One cause may be a genetic factor. If your parents, or one of your parents carries the gene, it could be passed on to their children. Another possible cause, which seems to be widely accepted by medical professionals, is that it is an auto immune disease. Some professionals believe it is caused by a virus or bacteria which causes the immune system response to attempt to rid it from your body.

RA is more prevalent in women than men and juvenile RA can occur in children.

It's hard to say what the best treatment is, but the most common appears to be applying heat or cold and taking anti-inflammatories in the early stages. As the disease progresses, methotrexate is commonly prescribed, though there are other drugs that are used. If being diagnosed has been delayed, Pregnisone (a steroid) may be used to stop the progression of the disease and protect the joints until the other drugs take effect.

Treatment can also include join replacement surgery in some cases.

Alternative treatments, which can be used in conjunction with the conventional treatment or alone, include modifying your diet. Some foods, sugar for one, are thought to contribute to the swelling and pain. Herbal supplements can also be taken. Of course, use of such treatments should be discussed with your medical provider.

Simple exercises to prevent long term weakening of your joints caused by lack of use should be discussed with your medical provider!

Of course, you will want to find a medical provider to diagnose and help plan your treatment. If you are taking methotrexate, it is important that you have tests at regular intervals to measure the amount that is in your liver.

The cause of arthritis is not fully known. It is thought that some people who are genetically predisposed develop the disease after they are exposed to environmental triggers. Other forms of arthritis can be caused by problems with the immune system or by a metabolic condition, such as gout.

You can take Acidim® & GC® ayurvedic medication to relief from arthritis.
