Yes, in fact you can see veins on the wings of some flying bugs, such as dragonflies. I also found out that Spiders don't have muscles; their blood circulates very swiftly from one leg to the other for them to run.

Insects rely on diffusion for transport for oxygen and since they are so small they don't need a complex circulatory system, they have an open one because nutrients are in direct contact to blood cells

The circulatory system in insects is open whereby they pump blood into a hemocoel after which blood will diffuse back into the circulatory system. In mammals, the circulatory system is closed and it involves blood moving through blood vessels to the different parts of the body.

Mammals and most vertebrates have a closed circulatory system in which the blood stays in the blood vessels and recirculates. In an open circulatory system the hemolymph is pumped out by the heart, but perfuses the entire body cavity.

ok from my understanding, the circulatory system is a transport system of the body. it transport lovely things such as: water, oxygen, carbon dioxide. It circulates hormones. hands out all the nutrients to the cell of the body (nutrient distribution). and maintains the bodys temperature. its made up of the heart, the blood (fluid which everything can be transported around in), blood vessels which all the blood can move aound in to get to the cells of the body to deliver things such as oxygen and take away things such as carbon dioxide.

the cardiovascular system is the heart and the viens.

So, therefore I'm gonna guess that the cardiovascular system is part of the circulatory system as they both got a heart, and viens as part of their systems. Yes so this is what i think. i actually needed an answer to this question but saw that it was answered... so i tried to help out and such. hope it helped. :)

Do tigers have a open or closed circulatory system?

Tigers are mammals and so their circulatory system is very similar to that of humans.

How do insects move and fly actively despite the type of circulatory system they have?

Even if insects have an open circulatory system, which is usually characterized by slow animals with low metabolic rates, their circulatory system does not participate in supplication of oxygen to the tissues and in the gas exchange process. That is handled by the independent tracheal system, the spiracles, which allows direct contact of cells with the air. With this, the oxygen demand can be supplied even with an open circulatory system.source: http://www.biology-questions-and-answers.com/the-circulatory-system.html

Do birds have open or closed circulatory systems?

All bird species have different circulatory systems, for the most part the smaller species have an open system, while larger birds have a closed system.

What type of circulatory system does a white tiger have?

Tigers are mammals so their circulatory system is very similar to that of the humans. The tigers heart has 4 chambers; there are 2 different heart chambers; one that transports blood and one that receives blood. The ventricles are much larger than the atria and their wide, muscular walls are used to forcefully pump blood from the heart to the body and lungs. Answered By John Thomas

What type of circulatory system do African lions have?

Do mammals have an open circulatory system?

No, mammals have a closed circulatory system as the system consists of veins and arteries, that carry blood through them. Unlike an open circulatory system which also has a heart, but the blood is free flowing throughout the body. For example when you kill an insect, it is like popping a sack filled with blood, which is exactly what insects with open circulatory systems are.

Do rabbits have an open or closed circulatory system?

closed. Open circulatory systems are common in athropods, such as scorpions and insects, but not of mammals. They are when the body lacks blood vessels but has blood throughout the entire cavity of the body. Mammals have closed circulatory systems, as they contain blood vessels.

Do ladybugs have an external structure?

Yes, all insects have internal organs. These organs are different from mammals because they must support different types of systems like the open circulatory system and the ability to breath through the exoskeleton.

Did the mammals have a double open blood system?

Why is closed circulatory system is more efficient than open circulatory system?

not all open circulatory systems transport oxygen. Insects have no oxygen in their blood
