The IUPAC name is hydrogen peroxide.

Other, less common, names include dioxidane and dihydrogen dioxide

If you let it sit out in open air, it will decompose into H2O and O2.

2H2O2 --> 2H2O + O2

BLEACH

========

Nope...

Although hydrogen peroxide (H

2O

2 or HOOH) will have a bleaching effect, most of the time when you buy "bleach" you are buying a solution of sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl) with some sodium hydroxide (NaOH) thrown in - in general, a solution containing 3-8% sodium hypochlorite and 0.01-0.05% sodium hydroxide, which slows down the decomposition of the sodium hypochlorite.

The only common name for hydrogen peroxide IS "hydrogen peroxide". Alternative names are less common - such as: dihydrogen dioxide, hydrogen dioxide, or hydroperoxide.
