What is the concept of geologic time?
A million or more years.
Absolute geologic time places ages on geologic events or units. Relative time gives qualitative comparisons between events. Example of absolute geologic time: Rock A is 400 million years old Example of relative geologic time: Rock B is younger than Rock A, but older than Rock C. It would be like saying: I am 35 years old (absolute time), and am older than my brother (relative geologic time).
