∙ 12y agoFirst of all, the materials, platinum, gold, steel, etc. they are really expensive. then the craftsmanship. they are hand made really well. in Switzerland. importing. and part of it is just the name Rolex. everything costs more for a name. like the Hermes bugatti. and sharpie Lamborghini. its all status symbols.

The prices are high because of the amount of imposter and knock-off items that are on the market. The weight is heavy, the bands are considered indestructible and the designs are stunning. Outside of their visual qualities, they keep perfect time.
