Decceleration is not a true scientific term. Acceleration is the term for both an increase in speed and a decrease in speed. The definition of Acceleration is a change in velocity, therfore decceleration doesn't truly exist.

What is accerlation is 9.8 meters per second per second?

That is the acceleration of gravity on Earth.

Why does accerlation due to gravity affect the period of a pendulum?

The period of a pendulum is give approximately by the formula t = 2*pi*sqrt(l/g) where l is the length of the pendulum and g is the acceleration (not accerlation) due to gravity. Thus g is part of the formula for the period.

What is instantaneous accerlation?

that is acceleration at a particular point in time. If acceleration is changing with time, it is the slope of the velocity vs. time curve.

How is velocity of zero different from an accerlation at zero?

Acceleration is changing velocity. Zero velocity means no motion. Zero acceleration means constant, unchanging motion.
