If you divide a document into sections, you can use different headers and footers in each section. For example, you might want the header for each section to reflect the title of that section.

∙ 14y agoA header-footer are places where you can put you name, titles, etc. at the top (header) or the page number, footnotes, etc. at the bottom (footer).

∙ 11y agoWhether it's in a book, magazine, computer program, or anything, the header is any type that will be found at the top of it. Opposite is the footer. That's type at the bottom.
