Being in love is like a natural emotional high that makes you want to sleep with someone all the time and be completely involved in their life. Loving someone is when you do anything to make that person's life as good as possible with no thought of yourself.

Well, as far as definition goes. To love someone is to feel a strong desire to have a close physical and/or emotional relationship with a certain individual. To be IN love is to have that close physical and/or emotional relationship with that certain someone. and receive the same love in return from that person. But you can look at it as, you can love someone and care for them with all your heart, but if your in love, the other person will feel the same way for you =)

to be in love with someone is pure infactuation. you can love your family, friends or even partner, but to be in love with them is a different thing. if a person was in love with someone they would be completley devoted to that one person and be 'head over heals in love with them'. they would be able to sacrafice anything for them.

What does it mean if a girl asks the difference between like and love?

Just be up front with it, and explain that liking involves enjoying someone's company, and loving implies a willingness to seriously commit oneself to a relationship. There is nothing wrong with either position, as long as everyone involved is clear about it. Perhaps liking is similar to 'friends with benefits'. Same general idea.

How can you encourage somebody who likes you but is too afraid to admit it to himself to realize his feelings?

You are second-guessing the feelings of this other person and you have absolutely no idea what they are thinking about you. Instead, you are wishing this to be true. You can't make someone love you. There is a big difference between someone liking you (as a friend) and loving you romantically. Take it easy and let Mother Nature take her course.

How do guys know when a girl likes them?

Liking someone is not necessarily loving someone. We all can "like" someone without being romantically involved. If you think the gal is taking a liking to you, then ask her out for a hamburger. If she declines, at least you will know.
