What is the difference between 1080p and 1080i HDTV?
The main difference between a 1080p and a 1080i HDTV is the method used to decode the digital signal being sent to the television. 1080p signals send each line to be displayed on the television in a progressive manner. 1080i signals send every other line of the display, also known as interlaced. A 1080p television should be slightly faster as rendering the image since it does not have to interpret the pictures being sent, as they are all in the correct order, but this means the 1080p televisions are probably more expensive,
