Scientology is a pseudo-religious construct founded by science-fiction writer L. Ron Hubbard.

Atheists have reached a conclusion about god that indicates that there is no god, This is not "rejecting" god any more than children reject the monster under he bed as they grow older - they just realize that there is no such thing.

Deism is the belief in a god (or, gods) that abandoned our civilization or basically doesn't intervene; Atheism is a rejection or disbelief in the idea of gods, goddesses, demigods and devils.

Nontheism the rejection of the belief in god or gods, atheism is the absence of belief in god or gods; you might argue that there is no difference and the terms are often used interchangeably, however there is a difference:

For example, most governments in the west are nontheist; they run their country and establish laws in a secular, rational way - although members of the government may well be theist.

There is a big difference between non religious person and atheist. I am taking it, when you say non religious person they neither believe or disbelieve. Because this sort of person falls into the category known as an Agnostic. This person has not really decided on whether they believe or don't, so they sort of sit on the fence. They don't believe in any particular faith but at the same time the don't deny that any faith couldn't be real.

However, an Atheist is a self confessed believer that no God exists and will tell people that they believe that. An atheist has no interest in trying to be taught about a god because they are certain non exists.

Hope that is useful for you

Atheism and Religion
Religion is generally understood to be a set of attitudes, beliefs, and practices pertaining to a belief in a supernatural power (gods) that controls human destiny, i.e., a belief in a deity. Apart from the general understanding of religion it should be noted that a few sects, such as Buddhism and Jainism, do not advocate a core belief in gods. An essential component of god-based religion is an unquestioning acceptance that certain things are true in the absence of scientific proof or evidence.

Atheism is simply the absence of belief in gods.

Additional Input from Contributors:

  • Many terms have been coined by various philosophers and theologians to encompass the conscious lack of belief in gods and the conscious rejection of the existence of gods. Although atheism is described in a variety of ways that often depend on the views of the describer, atheism is an extremely simple concept.
  • An atheist is a person from whose life a belief in the supernatural (gods) is absent. There is no denial of, no failure to recognize and no denouncing of the supernatural contained within the term atheist. At its most basic level atheism is the absence of belief in the supernatural. There are no practical consequences that the non-believer must follow.
  • There are no systematic attributes to atheism, no conscientious devotion to anything and atheists are not required to fashion their lives around any atheistic principles. For an individual who has been exposed to the various religions, atheism is simply an intellectual choice.
  • What is confusing to religionists is that spirituality can be a component of both. A belief in the supernatural, some divine higher power or other system of religious belief is not necessary to develop a mindfulness about one's place in the universe, one's connection to other people and the planet and a set of high personal standards by which one chooses to live. An atheist can lead an exemplary life with reason and basic moral principles that are common to all people. Many humanitarian efforts are led by atheists.
  • Religion entails belief in the supernatural. While some religions (notably Buddhism) do not include belief in gods, and therefore qualify as athiestic, they are nevertheless called religions because they do entail beliefs in the supernatural, life after death, departed spirits, reincarnation, etc. So, it is incorrect to call atheism a religion. People who lack a belief in gods do not constitute a new religion. This is an extremely difficult concept for religionists who by their very nature exist within their "beliefs".
  • An atheist requires no rules and rituals to exist as an atheist.
  • An atheist requires no doctrines nor dogma nor clergy nor texts nor organized group to not believe in deities.
  • An atheist uses no set of fixed principles to explain the unknown or human existence.
  • Most importantly atheism requires NO TIME whatsoever. As they say . . . if atheism is a religion then not playing Baseball is a sport!

Religion is based on faith, which is belief in something for which there is no proof - most commonly a God or gods. In contrast, atheism is the lack of belief in these things for which there is no proof.

Theism is believing in God, atheism is not believing in God. Those who are atheists normally belong to some religion, some organized method of prayer, but those who are atheists question even the existence of God. They don't believe that this world is created by a power, that there is a God. They believe in scientific theories of evolution or the Big Bang. Therefore they do not realize God. They are not blessed to live with love and peace and joy, because of their belief of atheism. There are still others who are not atheists, they don't blindly reject God, they are agnostics, they question whether God exists. They don't believe in organized theism or religion but they accept that there is a power in this universe but not the God that religions call God.

How many Churches of Scientology are there in Egypt?

There are, as of 19 September 2015, no Scientology churches in Egypt. The closest ones would be in Israel. Egypt has a very limited freedom of religion, which really only applies to Islam, Christianity, and Judaism. Some religions like Baha'i and Atheism (which would be a religious designation) are barely protected by the state. It is doubtful if Scientology would be permitted in Egypt in the near future.
