In reality, all belief systems can't be true, because they contradict one another. So it would be a beautiful thing if all religions could blend perfectly. But this is foolish thinking. Here are comparisons on certain important topics of 3 major world religions compared to Christianity.

The Existence of a Personal God.

- Buddhists deny the existence of a personal God.

- Hindus believe in two major gods, Vishnu and Siva, as well as in millions of lesser gods.

- Muslims believe in one God named Allah.

- Christians believe that God is a being who created humans in his own image and who loves them and wants to have a personal relationship with them.

The Subject of Salvation.

- Buddhists believe salvation is by self-effort alone.

- Hindus believe you achieve salvation by devotion, works, and self-control.

- Muslims believe that people earn their own salvation and pray for their own sins.

- Christians believe that Jesus Christ died for their sins. If people turn from their sins and follow Jesus, they can be forgiven and have the hope of being with Jesus in heaven.

The Person of Jesus Christ.

- Buddhists believe that Jesus Christ was a good teacher, though less important than Buddha.

- Hindus believe that Jesus was just on of many incarnations - or sons - of God. Yet they also assert that Christ was not the unique Son of God. He was no more divine then any other man, and he did not die for people's sins.

- Muslims believe that Jesus Christ was the greatest of the prophets below Muhammad. In addition, they do not believe that Christ died for people's sins.

- Christians believe that Jesus is God as wel as man, that he was sinless, and that he died to redeem mankind.

So, it is evident that you cannot simply believe in all of the major beliefs, because each religion eventually contradicts Christianity.

Christians do not believe in rebirth as Hindus do, Christians believe in Jesus died for the sins of the world. Christianity is a religion, whereas Hinduism is more a way of life. Both 'religions' have only One God, and Hindus believe that no matter who we worship, we are all the children of God, similar to Christians. Both religions mention similar events, such as the Great Flood, and as long as you believe in Jesus Christ, you can be a Hindu and a Christian.

Christianity offers salvation and a way to heaven through our savior Jesus Christ, and when people repent and accept Christ as their personal savior, the Holy Spirit works in them to change their hearts and minds in a good direction; and offers a personal connection to God; and teaches love and forgiveness; and care for orphans, widows and the poor. Hinduism has many deities that don't have the ability to offer salvation.

Firstly I will answer it in simple words.. Hindus accept and respect everything and everyone in the way it is or they are.. like respecting nature, sun, moon, men, women and all other genders... and that might be one reason that there are so many forms of God... You can pray him in any form like you can see him in a stone, or water(Prayers to Rivers) or Fire (Yagnas) or Trees ( Neem is considered to be very auspicious tree) or Animal( Almost every animal is prayed or considered to be a Vahan(Vehicle) of God)... In other words you pray to mother earth as in whole...

For Hindus its not just religion, it is way of life. It believes in Karma( What you do is what you get) and says one important thing- if you do bad you get bad, even if you pray every for of God on earth.. unlike Christianity which says your sins will be cleared if you pray to Jesus..

For Christians, there is one God but for Hindus, there are around 33Million Gods but they all are incarnations of one form.

Every form has its own personality and its own way of dealing with the bad in the world... so this actually sets as an example to people with different mindsets on how to deal with issues in their life.

What I just said is just a drop of water in a big ocean.... In order to understand Hinduism(Sanathana Dharma), you need a lot of time and dedication coz its matter of understanding 33Million gods :)

Salvation is somewhat arbitrary in the Hindu religion and is reached through worship. In Christianity, salvation occurs unquestionably because of the crucifixion of Jesus.
