Both Dexedrine and Adderall are amphetamine based products. Amphetamine is used from treating ADHD, narcolepsy, and in some cases extreme obesity. Dexedrine contains d-amphetamine (dextroamphetamine), while Adderall contains l-amphetamine (levoamphetamine) and d-amphetamine (dextroamphetamine). These two chemicals are both sides of the drug (d is the left, l is the right) and some find a mix of the two work better.
adderall has 4 kinds of amphetamine in it, dexedrine only has dextro-amphetamine
dexedrine causes less anxiety but is the most powerful. strange eh??
coke and amphetamines like dexedrine, adderall, etc...and oxy's
Blues 10mg/Orange 20mg
Dexedrine. Dexedrine contains only the most potent form of amphetamine, Adderall contains a mixture of amphetamine's two active forms.
No it is not. CurrentTx's for A.D.H.D in Canada are: 1-Ritalin 2-Dexedrine 3-Concerta 4-Adderall
Yes, I am taking 2 20 mg Adderall XR's daily and feel NO EFFECT from it whatsoever!!
Dexedrine is the most popular brand name for the psychostimulant dextroamphetamine. Dextroamphetamine is the right handed stereoisomer of the amphetamine molecule. Brand names for the drug are Dexedrine and Dextrostat. Dextroamphetamine is the active metabolite of lisdexamfetamine which is branded as Vyvanse which is used extensively for ADHD treatment and makes up 72% of the ADHD drug Adderall.
It would more than likely not work, since Vyvanse is closely related to Adderall. I am being treated by a Psychiatrist for Narcolepsy. I am prescribed 50mg of Vyvanse per day. While Vyvanse is still an amphetamine salt it is a completely different drug than Adderall.
Dexedrine. It's pharmaceutical methamphetamine. Pure as it gets. Thousands of hyperactive kids take it every day. Just tell a good psychiatrist that you have very severe ADHD and that the only thing that works to mitigate it is really, really strong stimulant psychotropics like adderall and dexedrine.
Adderall, Vyvanse ,Didrex, Aponeuron, Dexedrine , Asenlix, etc.. Better look online for Dextroamphetamine brand names.
Most simply, they are two different drugs. Concerta is a sustained-release formulation of methylphenidate, and Adderall XR is an extended-release formulation of a mixture of amphetamine salts. It's like the difference between Ritalin and Adderall, which are the immediate-release forms. Both drugs are stimulants, usually prescribed for ADD/ADHD. Methylphenidate is said to not be as strong a stimulant as amphetamine, but is still controlled as tightly.
There are only 2 possible difference, being price and inactive ingredients. The tablets will still contain the 1/4 dextroamphetamine saccharate, 1/4 dextroamphetamine sulfate, and 1/2 racemic mixture of two amphetamine salts (aspartate and sulfate, I believe) at concentrations identical to that of brand name Adderall as regulated by the FDA. I've taken both the brand name and generic Adderall before and did not experience any difference in quality.
