Swearing an oath is a religious way of saying, tell the truth and you will swear to do so upon god as your witness. Affirming means , do you swear to tell the truth as you know it. They provided this to people who don't believe in god, or simply don't want to swear upon god.

What is the difference between an invitation to the inauguration and an invitation to the swearing-in of the President?

An invitation to the inauguration refers to the formal ceremony where a newly elected president takes office. It typically includes various events and activities that mark the beginning of their term. What is the difference between regular confirmation and regular mass?

Confirmation mass is usually held by the Bishops, there is an additional swearing-in so to speak, it takes a lot longer than a regular mass. Better in general to not take oaths... nothing to be ashamed of though.

Is swearing more common in lower social classes?

There is a widespread public association between swearing and social class, and many of those who criticise the habit most strongly do so because they believe it to be a 'common' and unrefined habit. It may be fair to say that many regular swearers come from anarchic or lower-class backgrounds, and that they swear primarily as a means of distancing themselves from mainstream society and affirming their position as a member of a particular social group. However, many famous swearers do not come from such backgrounds, and even English monarchs and American Presidents have been known to participate in the habit source: http://www.andrewgray.com/essays/swearing.htm

How can you turn off the swearing on Freelancer?

The most profane words I recall in Freelancer are "d*mn" and "h*ll" and I must say they are very few and far between. There is no profanity toggle option, but you can mute out the swearing with an audio editor, although. this consumes much time searching through the hundreds of dialogue sounds. Are you really that concerned about this level of swearing?

What is the difference between disparity and diversity?

Diversity is more of a synonym for variety, as in, "The diversity of opinions at the dinner party was overwhelming" or "With over 170 languages spoken around the city, New York is a place of great cultural diversity." Disparity is usually used to describe the difference between two things, as in, "The disparity between his age and his bride's age was shocking" or "The disparity between their opinions on everything made me wonder how on earth they stayed married." It is also used to describe something that is made up of incongruous or inconsistent parts, as in, "The disparity between the movie's funny moments and sad moments was confusing instead of life-affirming."
