the roadrunner had a striping kit on it and a blacked out grille with dual exhaust and special tips on it and the suspension was heavier duty plus it had a beep-beep horn.
Roadrunner's standard engine is a 383 with optional 426 Hemi or 440 Six Pack. The Satellite could have anything from slant 6 to 440 Six Pack. Then the trim differences.
PLUS could be had with heavy duty suspension, dual exhaust.
The plus upgrade came with fender lites-chrome rocker moulding.
No satellite came with rear wing or front dual wings WELL ONE! MINE FACTORY.
Option was dropped in 72.
The major differance in a RR and a SSP for 71, was INSURANCE COST via Satellite an ole mans car??? not High Perf. lacking the 440, yet 383 hi-po option, available.
Satellites had no Dana Rear end.
There were 7 options on a RR not on a' Satellite' dealers buyer book, even SSP"S.
The Sport Satellite has a different hood unique to the sport satellite (not a roadrunner hood) the dash says sport satellite as well. The sport satellites are a little more rare and are worth more then a plain satellite.
The Road Runner was thehigh-performance model of the Satellite, so it had more powerful engines, firmer suspensions, upgraded wheels/tires and such. The Road Runner and Satellitewere bothavailableas a coupe or convertible, but the Satellite could also be had as a sedan or station wagon.
the B body is the satellite, roadrunner and the A body is the valiant, and barricuda, not sure about the c body but probably it's the fury.
the chassis on barracudas are quite a bit shorter, and most pre 69 cudas were hatchbacks or notchbacks
The Belevdere has less options than the Satellite and cost less.
The cars were the same other than the fact that they had different options for the interior and other small details. In fact it is not at all hard to take one of those cars and transform them into the other one.
Other than drivetrain similarities, they're 2 totally different types of cars
the GTX was the upscale satellite with more options as the roadrunner was just basically a cheap performance car as some of them had no radio, no carpeting and push out rear windows.
As far the body of the car goes a 2 door satellite and a Roadrunner are the same.. VIN: Satellite=RL Salellite Sebring=RH Satellite Sebring Plus=RP RoadRunner=RM A 72 roadrunner RM will have the following: Special Split grille with honeycomb mesh insert (rare item) High performance engine 340 400 or 440(440 is "U" code GTX option) Roadrunner Decor: Strobe Stripe RR emblems and bird decal on lower quarter Hood Stripes vary by hood RR medalion in header panel RR script or bird on dash Hood options: Call out with engine displacement or air grabber Roadrunner "Beep Beep" horn A few High impact colors (RR only) were left over in 72...(non available was plum crazy purple, sassy grass green) There are probably a few other things I forgot...but most of the other RR options not listed could have been ordered on a Satellite such as sway bars, 400, bucket seats, console, 4 speed, and so on. The sport satellite tansmits sport :)
Satellite Laptop is nothing but a brand name for a particular range of Toshiba laptops. So there is no difference between a laptop and a satellite laptop.
Communications satellite system is the main difference of gps
