They are much, much smaller than a human brain witch means they can't store every thing they hear in there brain to memorise it.

Comparing human and animal brains is like comparing all the modes of transport available to mankind. They all look different and have different 'designs' which make them perform differently.

The main issue is that our brains tend to function on a more emotional level as well as having the ability to analyse , respond and adapt at a higher level than most animals. Also our ability to communicate appears to be more complex.

Apparently, the smaller the brain, the faster it operates at. This is because the speed of light would take longer to reach all the human brain cells than it would in a frog.
