Bedbugs is a species that prefers to feed off of human blood or other warmblooded animals.

Ticks will still feed off of warmblooded mammals, birds, etc. but will also feed from cold-blooded reptiles or amphibians.

That's the only difference i can think of :)

Bedbugs typically live in mattresses, sofas, and other furniture and are usually only active at night. Adult bedbugs are reddish-brown, flattened, oval, and wingless, with microscopic hairs that give them a banded appearance. They grow to 4-5 mm (1/8th - 3/16th of an inch) in length, and are about the size of an apple seed. They feed on the blood of humans and other warmblooded hosts. After feeding for about five minutes, the bug returns to its hiding place. Bedbugs can live for a year or eighteen months without feeding, although they normally try to feed every five to ten days. In most observed cases, bites consist of a raised red bump or flat welt, and are often accompanied by very intense itching. There have been no known cases of bed bugs passing disease from host to host.

Tics are sudden, repetitive, nonrhythmic, stereotyped motor movements or vocalizations involving discrete muscle groups.

Ticks are blood-feeding parasites that are often found in tall grass and shrubs where they will wait to attach to a passing host. Ticks can carry of a number of diseases, including Lyme disease, Q fever, Colorado tick fever, tularemia, tick-borne relapsing fever, babesiosis, ehrlichiosis, Cameosis and Tick-borne meningoencephalitis, as well as other diseases in animals. There are about 900 different species of tick that have different prey, habitats, behaviors, and diseases. Sizes and colorings vary between species, though they all have 8 legs and have flat, oval-shaped bodies. Most ticks, if undetected, will remain attached to the host for 3-5 days to feed.

No, bedbugs are the same as body lice. Ticks are arachnids (like Spiders). Ticks and bedbugs are similar, however, in that they are both parasites.
