Medium serves as the Means of Communication, while Channel refers to the Means of Transmission of the message between a sender and a receiver (or audience). A Sender conveys his/her Message to the Receiver By some medium (i.e. written, oral or verbal medium), Over some channel (i.e. electronic means, printed media or air).
Hence, Medium is a broader term including appropriate channel to succeed Communication.
A person who channels is using a guide to speak through, while a medium predicts the past or future (sometimes exeriencing it or seeing it ... so THEY say.)
Answer: Actually a medium is one who can connect with spirit, a psychic can read the energy around a person, and a channel is anyone who *channels* information from another source, normally the *God source*...be it an artist, a scientist etc. It is information, that comes from without the mind of the person into the consciousness
of the individual. In many of todays cultures it is the norm to call a channel someone who brings through the spirits of those departed from this earth life. But this is like calling vacuuming, hovering. It is not entirely the correct terminology. So the difference between a channel and a medium is that *channel* is a verb and *medium* is a noun. Channel describes and Medium labels. This has been a study of mine for 8 years, as I am a medium, a psychic, (and not a fake one) I do have ethics and integrity, honesty and love for my clients. It is the others who we allow to con us that give the good ones a really bad name. I am also a Trance medium, and in all of this, I channel the energy and the information as it comes to me. I am still and will forever be working on improving the ability to channel, as all really honest psychics and mediums do.
Medium:It is the physical path overwhich the message travels from the sender to the receiver.
Channel: physical transmission medium such as a wire, or to a logical connection over a multiplexed medium such as a radio channel.
