I have a masters degree, it took me 3 years of post graduate study on a recognised course with a set syllabus. A PhD is usually 4 years of research into a subject which will add to the total knowledge base of humanity.

MPhil Masters degree, PhD Doctorate

Undergraduates are working toward their first degree (Bachelors). Graduate students are working toward their second (Masters, PhD).

I Dont think there is any difference between PHD and Doctorate. A person who has acquired a PHD or Doctorate could be called as a Doctor....

The difference is the level of education. You can become a counselor several ways. For example, you can get a masters degree in social work and be a licensed clinical social worker, or get a masters degree in pastoral counseling or school counseling. A psychologist has a PhD. FYI, a psychiatrist is an MD.

phd is a degree in research which a candidate can pursue after postgratution whereas dlit can be done after phd. it is a post phd degree.

It depends what you are studying. The next step after masters academically is the PhD.

If you have a MBA or a masters degree in related subjects you can apply for Phd in Business.

A masters is a degree, which typically follows the bachelors degree.

masters is multiple masters and master's is possession:"that's the master's magic wand."

Yes you can enrol for a PhD if you can find a suitable University and supervisor to take you on.

A Professor is employed by a college or university and is responsible for not only teaching but research. A Professor is a teacher of higher learning. A teacher who wishes to be a professor must have a masters degree or PHD.

The answer involves years spent getting an education and the level of mastery of the subject. A Masters degree indicates one has more education and skill in a subject area than someone with a college diploma. A PhD is a doctorate degree, indicating one has more education and expertise in a subject area than someone with a Masters degree. Someone who has obtained a PhD is referred to as Dr. Smith or Dr. Jones. Depending on the subject material, a Masters degree can take 2-4 years to obtain, and a PhD another 2-4 beyond that.

MA = Masters of Arts MS = Masters of Science

whats epidomogy - sounds interesting!! anyway as far as i know a phd program is the program you are enrolled in when you are studying to get your phd. A fellowship is a research grant that you can get when you are in a phd or masters program. You have to submit a paper or abstract. or it could be a teaching grant - they pay you to teach undergrads or mark undergrad papers shams

Typically yes. There are some schools that do have a combined masters/PhD.

bachelor, masters, doctorat (PHD)

associates/bachelor/masters/phd

MS refers to - Masters in Science MC refers to - Masters in Communication

About $50 K per year.A Masters of Science is a specific type of Masters degree. For instance, I hold a masters degree in psychology (and a Ph.D.). I could elect to receive either a Masters of Arts or Masters of Science in Psychology. Some programs you don't have a choice between the two, but there is no "real" difference.

Approximately two to three years for the masters, and two to three years for the PhD.

The certificate does not meet the course nor credit requirements of the master's degree.

Typically the bachelors degree comes first. After that comes the masters, then PhD. However, there are a number of colleges and universities that offer a combined masters and PhD. Still however you look at this, the PhD will take approximately four years to complete beyond the bachelors degree.

Masters candidate are completing the requirements for the masters degree.ABDs typically have all of the requirements for a PhD except that they haven't completed their dissertation.
