What is the difference between a suspension lift and a body lift?
one lifts the suspension and one lifts the body
A body lift does just that, lifts the body and gives more tire clearance( stock suspension). A suspension lift gives more clearance but also give more suspension travel for off roading.
Yes you can, But a suspension lift will mess up your ride, It will not ride or drive as good as it does now. A body lift will no alter the suspension or change the way it handles. Body lift is the best way to go.
a suspension bridge can sway back and forth where a regular bridge can also be a lift bridge or a drawbridge.
You need to buy a suspension lift kit or a body lift kit... a suspension kit is better and looks nicer
A body lift raises the body of the vehicle higher above the frame of the vehicle. A body lift does not raise a vehicles frame above the ground (e.g. does not increase a vehicle's ground clearance) but it may allow for the installation of larger tires. A lift kit raises a vehicle's frame further above the axles by using larger springs (or lift blocks placed between the springs and axles). This not only allows for… Read More
When installing a suspension lift kit on a vehicle that already has a body lift kit how should you determine what length of shocks to use?
The body lift does not matter, it just lifts the body. The only thing you need to worry about is the length the new suspension will add to the stock suspension. For example if you put on a 4" suspension lift then you will need to add about 5" - 7" inches in the shock to make sure you have enough up and down travel within the suspension lift, and that it does not "bottom… Read More
Body lift MAYBE. suspension lift ? NO...
good question depends on what kind of lift body or suspension and what is the lift going on
Yes, they sell both types of lifts.
Yes. A body lift goes between a vehicle's body and the frame and a leveling kit is a block that is placed above or below a vehicle's front springs to level the suspension. The two are unrelated and will not interfere with each other.
Of course. Body lifts just lift the body of the vehicle. While spacer lift kits lift your vehicle using the suspension. Body lifts will not improve clearance while spacer lift kits will.
Yup.. Only one company makes a suspension lift for the '04. Rize Industries...
NO , The Cherokee is a unibody setup which means that the body and the frame are one piece. A body lift requires the frame and the body to be separate order to put a spacer in to lift the body off the frame.
What is the difference between a ZR2 suspension and a stock 4 door S10 Blazer Can you upgrade to the ZR2 suspension What will you need to change?
You would come out cheaper finding a ZR2 and buying it, or trading your touring suspension Blazer. The Zr2 Has a wider wheel base, thus why they call it "widestance package" . Your best bet would be to get a suspension lift for your blazer, and that will actually exceed the Zr2 Suspension package. I recommend a BDS 6'' lift, but you can just google and find many choices. Hope this helps!
yes you can with a body lift or with a suspension lift
no, they just suck. i highly recommend a suspension lift.
yes you can if you go on quadratec.com and look up a 3 inch body lift it tells you that you can do it. From my personal knowledge a body lift is obviously just the body and does not mess with suspension at all.
i was wondering what the difference is between the Jeep Wrangler and the Jeep Rubicon A: Sahara is a wrangler trim package (it's the same vehicle) A:Rubicon is a wrangler with significant upgrades. air locking differentials, suspension lift, tires and wheels, etc.
Yes, go to the BDS Suspension website. There is a 2 inch suspension and a 2 inch body.
The way they lift the load.
Yes it will. I have a 1998 GMC Sierra 4wd with only a 3 inch body lift and are clearing 35 inch nitto tires and it has no suspension lift what so ever I have a 1999 2 door Tahoe with 3 inch body lift and keys cranked up and clearing 35/15.50/r15 tsl sx's with little cutting but rubbs when turning and flexing the front suspension.
About 4 inch suspension lift and to be safe, add another 2 inch body lift!
Who makes a suspension lift for a Dodge Durango?
The short answer is you can. The question is should you. When you do a body lift it raises the body off the frame with longer bolts and tall bushings that are much weaker than a strong, short bolt and bushing. You end up running the risk of shearing the body right off the frame in an accident or strong impact while off roading. With all the suspension lift options out there really isn't much… Read More

It depends on which Jeep you are talking about and how high you want to go. Anywhere from $100 for a body or spacer lift up to several thousand dollars for a long arm 6" suspension lift.
The difference between heavy lift surcharge and long lift surcharge is the size of the cargo. Long lift surcharges are applied when the length of the cargo exceed the rules. Heavy lift surcharge is when the weight of the cargo exceeds the going rate.
Depends on the fork lift and the car.
No, that's all the bigger you will want to go with out at least putting some body spacers or a suspension lift on it.
35" Tires will require a 6" suspension lift to clear with no rubbing. A cheaper alternative is a 3" body lift, and 33" tires, although not as appealing.
there is not one a torsion bar suspension is a cheap lift. i have one on my truck and i am currently looking into a suspension lift for mine. i suggest you do the same.
The price difference between a conventional truck and one with a lift is an estimated $4000 difference. The $4000 includes the lift for the truck as well as the wheels that are needed to go with it.
The escalator is moving stairs and the lift is the box that goes up and down.
It is possible. I have a 2.5 inch suspension lift from Rough Country. 31s fit with backspacing and trimming. I am looking into getting a 2 inch body also so they wont rub at all and I could possibly fit up to 33s wit 4.5 inches. Hope this helps!
If it is done right it will not hurt the Blazer. It might hurt your MPG a little but that's all.
a carry is when you run into the ball and it goes with you as you slow down and a lift is when you just lift up the ball.......
fuselage centerline is drawn at center of maximum height of the body alined horizontally but fuselage reference line is a zero-lift line of the wing-body of the airplane
4" suspension do not try a body lift, go to Superlift's web site, they have a chart that tells exactly what is needed.
What is the least expensive way to lift your 2001 Dodge Dakota Pick Up 3 to improve ground clearance Aren't there shocks that provide lift?
cheapest for looks is a body lift, about $300 for the kit but for ground clearence, you really have no choice but to get a suspension lift, which if you have a 4x4 like i do, it's about $1600 for 3"
It has exactly the came meaning but lift it's used in UK and elevator in USA.
Both lifts and cranes are used for same purpose, which is load lifting. The difference between lift and crane is the way they lift load. Lifts carry weights from the bottom and move upwards while cranes pull weights from bottom to top.

to Raise a car you need to modify the suspension by getting larger springs, body mount lift blocks and adjusting the alignment once it is raised
What tire size can you go up to without a lift for a 1978 jeep cj7 and what is the wheel pattern thanks?
30 or 31 max. Anything larger and you'll either need a suspension lift, a body lift (which I don't like) or you'll need to cut out fender wells.
Lift is the upward force resulting from the difference in the pressure between the upper and lower surfaces of a wing. Lift is to pick up and move to a different position.
Do you need a leveling kit if you bought a 6 fabtech suspension kit or when you put the lift on will it level it out?
Normally a suspension lift kit levels the truck's nose with the rear. It may depend on the type of lift, but that's normally the case.
the difference between an helicopter creating lift and an airplane creating lift is simple. an airplane creates lift by moving forward and its wing that has an aerofoil shaped will create lift. this gives the lift for the airplane and to fly. for helicopters, instead of the aerofoil is fix like an airplane, the aerofoil wing is rotating and create lift. that is why the helicopter does not need to move forward to gain momentum… Read More
There are two types... To lift a car, in the form of a car lift, lift off the ground. The other is to lift a car with a suspension lift, installing taller springs, etc.
