A wetland is a transitional zone between an aquatic and terrestrial ecosystem and as a result has components of both. An ocean is a completely aquatic ecosystem. The presence or absence of salt water has nothing to do with this, there are both freshwater and saltwater wetlands throughout the world.

Coastal generally means a habitat that is next to the coast, or the sea/ocean. It is a saltwater habitat. Wetlands may be near the coast, or inland, wherever water feeds into them, usually by way of freshwater rivers. Whilst some plants and animals can survive in both areas, each tends to also have its unique flora and fauna, as coastal is saline and wetlands is freshwater.
