difference between prose and informal
like I no
At times, the difference between poetry and prose is indistinct. However, prose is generally constructed in sentences and poetry is constructed in stanzas.
Prose is free speech put into blank verse, and verse is verses in iambic perameter.
Aphorisms seem to be more instructive in nature whereas proverbs are often witty observances of experience.
poetry is in stanzas prose is in paragraphs, or sentences
The difference between "prose" and "novel" comes from the different natures of each. "Prose" is a particular style of writing, to be distinguished from, for example, a poetic style. On the other hand, a "novel" is a particular genre of literature. As a narrative of some kind, novels are constructed through the use (partial or whole) of a prose style, which of course can be used in the construction of other kinds of literature, whether letters, or blogs, or essays, etc.
Literary prose is written with a focus on artistry, creativity, and aesthetic quality, often found in works of fiction, poetry, or drama. Nonliterary prose, on the other hand, is more straightforward and functional, often used for informational or practical purposes in genres like essays, speeches, journalism, or technical writing.
Prose is from a Latin word [prorsus] which means 'going on straight ahead'. A piece in prose starts, and goes on until it finishes. Verse is from a Latin word [vertere] which means 'to turn a corner'. A piece in verse goes on until it reaches the end of the line, then it 'turns a corner' and starts again (with a new line, and a fresh capital letter). So one should really talk about the difference between Prose and Verse. Poetry is really only a special way of reading a piece of language. In English and many other languages Poetry is usually written in Verse. But not always, English poets who have written in Prose include William Blake, Thomas Traherne, David Jones and William Shakespeare. So the real question should be "What is the difference between Prose and Verse?" - and this is the answer.
the difference between short stories n articles is ttht short stories are stories wriiten based on real life n articles are stories written about the things tht are realli happening around the world everyday like someone getting killed n etc
Of course they can and do. The difference between prose and poetic diction - and I'm talking about poetry, not some silly prose splayed in pseudostanza on a page, is metrical, not lexical.
Modern poetry and prose are identical in structure and diction. The only difference is that prose claiming to be poetry is artificially arrayed in "lines" and pseudo-stanzas on the page instead of honest paragraphs.
