Asexual reproduction is when an organism doesn't require another organism to reproduce. Amoeba just split in half, for instance, and molds and ferns produce spores.

Asexuality is a sexual orientation, and can be said to be the opposite of being bisexual. So an "asexual" is a person who is not romantically and/or sexually attracted to other human beings. It is not the same as being "loveless" since platonic friendships are a type of love, and without the pressures, frustrations, and preoccupation with sex, such persons may have much more of themselves to give to regular friendships. Likewise, loving your own parents, siblings, or children doesn't require sexuality.

asexual reproduction means one parent, such as a mushroom, or a single celled ameba. Sexual reproduction has two parents, such as humans (of course), dogs, cows etc.

Which would produce more parent characteristics Asexual or sexual reproduction?

The difference between sexual and asexual is that in sexual reproduction, there are two parents, and in asexual, there is only one. In sexual reproduction, the two parents mix up their genes and produce a mix between the two parents. Asexual reproduction produces an exact match of the parent, since there were only the genes from the one parent.

Sexual reproduction involves the fusion of two half-cells, or gametes, to create an offspring, e.g. in humans. Asexual reproduction referes to reproduction without the need for another organism, e.g. binary fission (spliting) in bacteria.

What is the difference between sexual reproduction and asexual reproduction in regard to passing on DNA to their offspring?

In sexual reproduction an entirely new individual is produced. The genes are not exactly the same as either parent. In asexual reproduction the new individual is exactly the same as the parent. It is a cone of the parent.
