Dialogue is people talking. For example: "how are you today?" Kelsie asked. And narration is the speaker telling the story, but not actually talking. For example: The car was going so fast, it ran the stop light ahead without noticing. Your Welcome:)

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

Narration is describing the scene, and what unfolds. Eg. Jimmy looked across the courtyard and saw his friend Sue. He waved to her, and she weakly waved back. Feeling concerned, Jimmy crossed the courtyard, and came to a stop in front of her.

Dialogue is a discussion between a character and whom they are speaking to. It is the actual conversation. eg. "How have you been?" Jimmy asked. "Oh, I've been better," Sue sighed. The items in quotations are the dialogue.

The difference is in the number of people speaking. In a dialogue, there are at least two people, one supporting each of the two sides of an issue. Comedians frequently resort to a one-man dialogue, doing voice characterizations to distinguish the two opponents. In a soliloquy, there is only one speaker, and he/she is speaking to him/herself, as though no one else were hearing. It's a technique that Shakespeare often employed to move along his plays and give the audience insights into the characters' thinking processes.

I'm not sure what you're trying to ask - a dialogue is a dialogue. It's just people talking.
