Analogue computers use varying voltages summed together to perform mathematical equations such as trajectories of artllery shells . Direct coupled dc operational amplifiers connected to summing resistors and dividers form the hardware gates of AND and OR. Inputs are set with ppotential dividers and outputs sent to analogue meters. They fell out of use in the 1960's when digital electronics became practical.

Digital computer use binary digits using saturated logic. For example logic 1 is 5volts and logic 0 is 0volts. Digital gates form AND,OR,NOT and EX OR,Digital counters, shift registers and logic trees enable any task to be set up and performed endlessly without variation. Microprocessors of the 1970's revolutionised digital computing and we have not looked back since.

digital is digital, like an alarm clock or the one one your phone. analouge it the big round one that goes on you wall.

digital time: 13:45

analouge little had on 1, big hand on 9

on an analouge if its am it will be 1:45, if its pm it would be 13:45 because if its pm you take away 12.

Define analog digital and hybrid computers?

Ans. Difference between a digital and hybrid computer:Digital Computers:These are general purpose computers. They accept data in the form of discrete digits (0 and 1). They have large storage capacity. They come in many sizes and shapes. They are generally used in every field of life. They are slow but accurate as compared to analog computers.Hybrid Computers:Hybrid computers combine best features of analog and digital computers i.e. speed, accuracy reliability etc. They are special purpose computers, which are fast and accurate. Hybrid computers help the user to handle both analog and digital type of data.SHOAIBBILALShoaibbilal64@yahoo.com

Difference between an analog pbx and digital pbx?

Analog PBX is telephone system that is capable of handling calls and phone logs. Digital PBX is a system bundle with phone capabilities, fax, and other internet features. Digital PBXs are usually interfaced with computers and are internet-based.

Are most computers analog machines?

No, most computers today are digital machines. Digital computers operate using discrete binary data, represented as 0s and 1s. Analog computers, on the other hand, manipulate continuous physical quantities such as voltage, current, or mechanical motion. While analog computers were used in the past, the vast majority of computers in use today are digital.
