distillation is the process of heating up a liquid mixture (seawater, sugar in water, tea, etc) until pure water vapor rises up then condenses in the condenser tube, then runs down into a holding apparatus (beaker, etc) and that is pure water, or close to it.
condensation is when water vapour in the air forms liquid water on something cold. (this is why when you have a cold glass of water, it becomes wet on the outside.)
They are the complete opposite processes of each other. Simply put, evaporation is the process in which a liquid becomes a gas, and condensation is the process of a gas becoming a liquid.
Check wikipedia for more in depth explanation.
Evaporation occurs when water molecules in one large mass (such as lakes rivers, oceans, runoff, etc.), from the heat of the sun (around 70 degrees), turn into a gas and floats in the air. Condensation occurs when the newly evaporated gas turns back into water molecules (such as clouds when water molecules collect on a particle of dust), and then attaches itself to the surface of an object. Evaporation and condensation differ because when water evaporates, it turns into a gas in the air. Condensation is when water particles collect on an object (water particles in the air causes humidity).
Condensation is where a vapour (gas) is cooled, and droplets of liquid form.
Vapourisation is where a liquid is heated, and the liquid turns into vapour (gas).
As water is cooled at what temperature do its particles become fixed in place
they are same because they are part of the water cycle and they are different because evaporation is the process by which water changing to gas but condensation is the process by which gas changing into water.
1. Evaporation 2. Condesation
Condensation is the process in which a gas turns to liquid.Evaporation is the process in which a liquid turns to gas.
Evaporation is the process of water becoming a vapour. Condensation is the cooling of the water vapour back into a liquid.
Evaporation occurs only at the surface. Boiling happens anywhere in the liquid.
Condesation
Things feel colder when you get wet as a result of evaporation and condesation. On a windy day this process takes place more quickly and becomes colder.
condesation
Evaporation occurs at different temperatures for different substances. Evaporation is just the change of state of matter from liquid to gaseous.
There is no name for it, the substance is either a liquid or a gas ( like water or steam), there is no inbetween, the process of turning a liquid into a gas is called evaporation and the process of turning a gas into a liquid is called condesation.
Volume has no effect on evaporation rates. It is surface area that provides a time dependent variation.
evaporation is water to gas and sublimaion is water to a solid
