for is a standard loop

foreach allows you to automatically loop through an array

for (i = 0; i < somevalue; i++) {}

vs

$arr = array(1, 2 , 3 , 4);

foreach ($arr as &$value) { $value = $value *2; }

(Note: The & means reference the original, which means this function is changing the array on the fly)

It depends on the sentence you use. For example, ''This gift is FOR Nancey''. or, ''I'm giving this TO Nancey''.

But as time indicator "for" is about how long a period occur while "since" is more about when a period starts.
