local time
The main difference between local time and standard time is, the local time changes from a place to place, but the standard time remains fixed for the particular country. As per local time, the place/location on the same longitude will have the same local time, but as per the standard time the place on the same longitude will have different standard time.
Standard time is based upon the Sun's position. At noon the Sun is at the peak of its arc.
Daylight Savings time has the clocks moved forward one hour in the Spring and Summer. The Sun is not to the peak of its arc at noon in Daylight Savings Time.
Before countries started establishing standard time zones in the 1800s, each city or town was on its own mean time. That started to get very confusing when the speeds of transportation, via the railroads, and communication, via the telegraph, increased greatly. Creating zones within which the time throughout is the same alleviated a great deal of that confusion. Also, now that there are only around 40 time zones, it is much easier to determine the time in a certain place, especially since most countries are each entirely within a single time zone.
Literally, standard time repeats itself after the number 12 and military time continues on to the number 24, all for a total of 24 hours representation.
Daylight saving time is one hour ahead of standard time in most of the clock-changing world (part of Australia springs forward 1/2 hour).

Recording observations in local time could be confusing, because it varies from point to point, even for small changes in east-west location. Data transmission requires an even further case of all points in a system using exactly the same time. The same goes for astronomical observations (e.g. parallax). The few cases where local time may be useful is in recording the time of occurrences, such as sunrise and sunset, and moonrise and moonset, that can vary considerably from the standard time being used. Also, some observations must be taken when the Sun is at its zenith, which is noon, local time.
Pure copper is actually quite useful for certain purposes, such as wiring, but alloys such as brass and bronze are stronger than copper.

Standard Time means that everybody in that particular time zone follows that time, and not set their own time locally, which was done in the past.

Padded envelopes are extremely useful to have around. Whether you use padded envelope mailers at home, at school or for your small business, you don't have to pay the standard $3 for each envelope at your local retail store. Padded envelopes are available for wholesale purchase from more places than you may have thought, from your local office supply store to online retailers.
