Numeric is a noun or an adjective.

Numerical is only an adjective.

There are other pairs of words which are broadly similar but distinguished by their suffixes, such as economic and economical. However, such pairs tend to have markedly different meaning or application, where there is little real difference between numeric and numerical.

As numeric is capable of being both the noun and adjective and is consistently preferred in IT contexts, I'd suggest using numeric and deprecating numerical.

That's just my opinion, of course...

Sequential means in order. It can refer to any kind of data. Numerical refers to anything to do with numbers. In terms of something being in order, it refers to being in number order, properly called numerical order.
