What is the difference between oil paint and emulsion paint?
emulsion paints have had an emulsifier to create a temporary mixture between the to substances in them. saying temporarily, it could last for months.
I believe you are referring to egg oil emulsion, which is a wonderful medium to paint in because the colours are generally translucent and the result is quite dynamic. Egg oil emulsion is however made with tempera paints ( a dry ground pigment) not with water paint. For additional information on, and how to mix egg oil emulsion, please see the related link below.
Lute is an synthetic oil based finish having a semi smooth and mid sheen level. plastic paint is a water based emulsion coating that is normally Matt in appearance. Lustre has a very high washablity, stain resistance and life. Plastic is water based, so limited washabililty.... but it is more environment friendly and easy to apply.
