In the early stages , you had to ring the telephone exchange and tell them what number you wanted. Later it became automatic, you could dial the persons number you wanted. Now it is the cell phone you can talk on a small phone any where in the world.

They all have chips that transmit your exact location. They are all monitored by the government, via your phone service provider. (to keep you "safe") lol

Phones used to be able to just place or answer calls. Now you can surf the internet, text message a friend, send an email, and more with a cell phone.
