It's the difference between pressure and flow. The pressure is measured in volts, and the current in amps.
Current is the flow of electrons.

Power=VIcosϕ

V=voltage

I=current

Cosϕ=cosine of angle between V and I

Answer

Current is a drift of electric charge, expressed in amperes. Power is the rate of doing work, expressed in watts (equivalent to a joule per second).

Power is volts times amps - potential difference times current flow.

Potential difference - voltage - is created by a difference in charge +/-.

Current is the result when an electric path is created between the charges to allow electrons to move in an attempt to equalize the charge.

current is flowing of electron from higher potential to lower.

What is difference between 0.8 leading and 0.8 lagging power factors?

Power factor measures the phase difference between voltage and current. If they are in phase the Power Factor is one. If the current and voltage are out of phase the power factor is between zero and one. You can describe the PF by saying the current lags the voltage with a PF = .8 or the voltage leads the current with a .8 PF.

What is main difference between ac power and dc power?

AC power is made by alternating current and DC does not change.

Why do you use the conjugate of current to calculate power?

Because the angle of the power phasor is the difference between the one of voltaje and the one of current. As they are multiplied,instead of being added they are substracted

What does power factor mean in math?

power factor is the cosine of the angular difference between current and voltage and must be taken into account to get true power (watts)

4 What is the difference between a transformer and a rectifier Which are found in a PC power supply?

A rectifier is a device that converts alternating current to direct current. A transformer is a device that changes the ratio fo current to voltage. A rectifier is found in a PC power supply.

What is the difference between power transformer and instrument transformer?

A power transformer is used to provide power (to your home, for example), an instrument transformer is used to measure voltage or current (for metering, for example).
