It depends on the context, really.

Someone can maintain a profession but not have the slightest talent for exhibiting professionalism in a manner that is recognized to be worthy and sought after. True professionalism in any sector depends on the principles of the person and how it relates to their career path and their day-to-day care of that path.

This probably didn't help but its as close as I could answer without knowing what you were really after.

What is the difference between creative professionals and creative entrepreneurs?

My new book will explore the difference between a creative endeavor (a profession that is creative by nature, such as an architect, or a musician) and a profession done creatively. I will argue that any profession can be done creatively, but some lend themselves to creativity more than others. I guess you'll have to read my book "How to be creative in a nutshell" to find out the answer to these and other interesting questions.
