Both the French and Russian revolutions occurred because of two main reasons. Both of these revolutions were the direct results of bad leadership and a bad economy. These two reasons along with other factors caused both of these revolutions. Although they were both similar, they also had differences. A difference between the two is that the Russians had an unsuccessful "pre-revolution" in 1905. Another difference between these two revolutions is the fact that the French turned towards a democracy while the Russian government became communist. Both the French and Russian revolutions had similar causes but ended up with different results. Both of these countries had different internal factors which cause the results. The Russians had Lenin and the French had the Declaration of the Rights of Man and Citizen. I would also like to point out 1 more similarity between these two revolutions and that is the fact that both Czar Nicholas II and King Louis XVI were executed soon after the revolutionaries took power. It's just strange to see how two similar countries with so many similar reasons for revolting would end up with so very different governments.

this is one of the differences.there were many more.

Your question doesn't make sense. They are two completely different things, to tell you the differences I would first have to explain everything about them both to you, and then compare them.

You should make your question clearer.

The difference is that the Bolshevik Revolution is only one half of the Russian Revolution. The "Russian Revolution" of 1917 consists of two separate revolutions by two separate groups against two separate governments.

One revolution was the February Revolution in which workers, soldiers and peasants demonstrated so fiercely against the Tsar's mismanagement of government that he abdicated in favor of the Provisional Government.

The second revolution is the October Revolution, which is called the Bolshevik Revolution. The Bolshevik party led by Vladimir Lenin overthrew the Provisional Government and took over.

Sometime the "Russian Revolution" is said to include the revolution in 1905 that was started by the Bloody Sunday massacre. This may have set the scene for the 1917 revolutions but it did not overthrow the existing government and it was twelve years before the 1917 revolution.
