In very simple terms, a conventional computer does what it is programmed to do and no more. Artifical Intelligence (AI) involves a computer that is able to teach itself and emulate an intelligent response to the use.

∙ 12y agoTo date, there really is no difference. Artificial Intelligence is just a regular computer program designed to make a computer seem to "think" like a human does. Artificial intelligence may include anything from a simple program that lets you play tic-tac-toe with a computer - to one that controls a walking android.
