well say now you put an owl into an area where there were a lot of moles, mice etc then there would be less moles and mice because the owls will be eating them. theres many other examples like that. just think of it that way.

Acuatually the effect of peope introducing a new species can be good or bad it just changes it can be accidally or puorposley new spiecies can take the food and space of other species causing or forcing them to move or as for plants they die out
