Engine oil capacity?
Engine oil capacity in a 1978, 1979 and 1980 ford fiesta with the 1.6 kent engine is 3.2 quarts with filter and 2.8 quarts without pulling the filter.
Not normally a dipstick but a matter of finding the filler plug and making sure therer is enough in to come up to the level of the plug.
Park the vehicle on a level surface. Drain the oil and change the filter. Add 4 quarts of the correct weight oil. Start the engine and let run for 1 minute. Shut down, wait 30 minutes, and check the oil level. Add as necessary to reach the full mark on the dipstick. You now know the capacity.
The engine will take 5 quarts safely. $4.5 quarts will take you to the fill line on the dipstick.
The automatic transaxle fluid dipstick is between the engine and the battery ( the manual transaxle does not have a dipstick )
It is under the hood between the engine and the bottom of the windscreen
When you have the hood up and your looking at the engine, it's the yellow or red colored dipstick that's between the engine or radiator. The one in my 740i is yellow.
PULL THE DIPSTICK ! * The dipstick is located between the engine and battery on the driver's side.
