What is the firing order for a 1991 Ford Crown Victoria 5.8L?
Ok, I have a 1991 Crown Vic, 5.8L-351Win, 2bbl, Police Model and the large sticker on the valve cover says "Firing Order 1,3,7,2,6,5,4,8". Hope that helps.
All 1992 Ford Crown Victorias came with 4.6 SOHC engines (the first year they were used in the Crown Victoria; they were first used in the 1991 Lincoln Town Car). Early engines are often referred to as 'bastard blocks' because they use the same older transmission (the AOD) as the 1991 5.0 cars. Later 1992 cars will have a 4.6 block with the normal pattern for the newer electronic (AODE or 4R70W) transmission.
The LTD part is just the name of the car, it doesn't mean anything special. Pre-1983, Ford called this car the "LTD." From 1983 to 1991 the name became the "LTD Crown Victoria."
