I'm not 100% sure about the 5th generation Civics ('92-'95) but my 6th generation Civic has a firing order of 1-3-4-2. The no. 1 cylinder is at the belt end (driver's side). that's about the only workable firing order for a 4 cylinder.

If your 1994 Honda Civic is sputtering, it may be due to a clogged fuel line. Another possible cause is that one of the pistons isn't firing correctly. A tune up might be in order.

Looking at the front of the car the cylinders are 4, 3, 2, 1 from left to right. The firing order is 1, 3, 4, 2 and the distributor rotates clockwise.
